Sustainability Program Manager, Argonne National Laboratory and ISSP Board of Directors
Catherine Hurley, ISSP-CSP, is advancing sustainability around the world, serving on the Board of Directors for the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) and STAR Communities. Currently she provides strategic direction and management for Argonne National Laboratory’s multimillion-dollar Site Sustainability Program as Program Manager. She manages policy, infrastructure, and staff engagement projects with a multi-disciplinary team of mission-support staff and Argonne scientists and researchers. Prior to joining Argonne, Catherine served as Sustainability Manager for the City of Evanston, Illinois where she launched the Livability Initiative, aligning city operations and programs to advance environmental, economic and social sustainability for Evanston. Catherine is a Registered Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton. She is also an ISSP Certified Sustainability Professional and a LEED Accredited Professional.
